The laptop stand is amazingly quiet. I've tried out a few different laptop stands (Belkin, etc.), and this cooling stand is by far the most quiet. I like the various height adjustments, and it even folds up all the way so that it can fit into my laptop bag when I need to take it somewhere with my laptop.
